Understanding Your Timesheet

This is a short guide to assist you with accurately and correctly completing the timesheet. You should receive a copy of both the timesheet and this guide upon your first interview with FuturePeople Recruitment.

The FuturePeople Recruitment Timesheet is very easy to complete, however, it must be done correctly otherwise it can result in you being paid incorrectly, or even not at all!

  • The Weekending Date in the top right hand corner must the Sunday date of the week you worked, this must be correct.
  • The Employee Name field must be completed with your full legal name as per your Tax File Declaration. Simply putting your first name, nickname, or preferred name is not accepted and the timesheet will be rejected and sent back to you for corrections.
  • The Client Name field must also be entered. This should be the company at which you are working.
  • The Dep/Division field is necessary on our end as well, if you’re not sure which department you are in, ask you supervisor.
  • The Supervisor Name is your immediate supervisor, not the consultant you were hired through.
  • On the day you work write the date in its relative column, then your start and finish times, along with any breaks you had (in minutes). The Hours worked column is the amount of hours you were at work, minus your breaks.
  • Repeat this for each day you work that week.
  • At the end of the week, total up your hours and put it in the TOTAL field.
  • You will notice next to the TOTAL field there is a questions asking: “Are you continuing this assignment next week”. If you are working next week tick “Yes”, otherwise tick “No”.
  • Once the timesheet is complete you need to sign it at the bottom and date it.
  • After you have signed your timesheet hand it to your supervisor and have them sign and approve it.
  • Then fax the timesheet through to FuturePeople Recruitment.
Notes
  • Timesheets must be send to FuturePeople by Sunday 5pm
  • Late timesheets have the possibility of not being processed until the following week
  • Rejected timesheets will be sent back to employees requesting they are corrected, there will be a time frame regarding this and failure to meet it may result in pay not being processed until the following week.
  • Unapproved timesheets will NEVER be processed.
  • Falsifying hours on a timesheet in order to be paid extra funds can result in criminal charges being brought against the temporary employee.
  • You must take a minimal 30 minute break every 5 hours, if no break is entered on the timesheet 30 minutes will still be taken off the total hours for the day.
  • If there is an issue with sending the timesheet, contact your consultant by 9am Monday to discuss alternate methods.
