  • Employees are expected to comply with FuturePeople Recruitment’s EEO Policy and refrain in all instances from engaging in any discriminatory or harassing behaviour

  • Where instances of discrimination or harassment occur, they will be investigated and dealt with promptly, impartially justly and in a confidential manner

  • Any member of staff may complain about discriminatory conduct

  • If the matter relates to discrimination, sexual or racial harassment, or harassment based upon the basis of disability, then the grievance must be directly raised with the Equal Employment Opportunity Officer – Linda Simonsen - to achieve resolution.

Discrimination and Harassment Grievance Process

The above Grievance Procedure outlines the path which employees should take if they feel that they have been discriminated or harassed. At any stage in the process the issue can be resolved.

  • FuturePeople Recruitment is concerned to ensure that the employees feel free and able to raise such grievances and no individual will be penalised for raising such a grievance unless it is untrue (ie without evidence, or made in bad faith)

  • FuturePeople Recruitment ensures that, if proven with evidence, an employee has treated another employee unfairly, or has harassed them after the issue has been addressed with the accused first, then that employee responsible will be disciplined

  • FuturePeople Recruitment ensures that if proven that an employee is victimised because they complained about discrimination or harassment, or because they supported someone else’s complaint, after the issue has been addressed with the accused first then that employee responsible will be disciplined

  • In serious cases, the behaviour will be deemed to constitute gross misconduct and will result in summary dismissal in the absence of mitigating circumstances
